This is a traditional Swedish cake made from a recipe from a sweet, relative – cardamom cake. Cardamom is a spice that’s widely used in Scandinavian baking.
I will be adding a few more tried and true Swedish or Scandinavian baked goods to my menu soon! I currently offer Skorpa. There are very few (or zero) options in the Milwaukee area for Scandinavian baked goods, so I’ve got to provide some options! Milwaukee has a big German and Polish heritage, but i know there are some people with a Scandinavian heritage around 🙂
